This year’s Oscars brought a variety of makeup looks, from rock chic to natural elegance.

Our favorite look was worn by Emma Stone, who chose monochromatic makeup – one of the biggest trends in makeup for 2018.

Monochromatic makeup is a term that, for those who are not familiar, means using one color on multiple parts of the face. In this case, the eyes, cheeks, and lips.

This peachy cheek and lid combo is so easy to do; you’ll be amazed at how well it works!

OSCARS: Monochromatic makeup look

Prep your skin

Choose the base and shade that best suits your skin tone. Emma would use the Mineral Foundation powder in Nude. Use a powder brush to apply all over the face.

Choose your color scheme.

Choose a color and use multiple shades to create a monochromatic look. Reds, pinks, bronzes, and oranges are great colors.

Build Your Eyes

Blend your baked blush in Tulip all over the eyelid up through the crease to just below the browbone. Apply mineral shadow Tourmaline at the inner corners of your eyes and below the browbone, blending out the edges. Apply the Mineral Matte Shadow Tourmaline using a flat delineator brush along the lower lash line. Next, take Mineral Matte Shadow in Terra Peach. Wet the brush to get a more intense color. Apply to outer corners.

Apply in Baroque along the lower lash lines and blot out with a SMALL TAPERED BLENDING BRUSH. Then, take the superwear gel liner in Baroque. Apply along the lower lashlines and smudge with smaller tapered blending brushes.

Then, apply two coats of Lush Black Mascara on both upper and lower lashes.

Apply Your Blush

Apply a tulip-baked blush to the apples on your cheeks.

Layer your lips

The lip color should complement the blush shade chosen and complete the monochromatic effect. Try Moisture Creme Lipstick in Peach. Finish off with Air Kiss Lipgloss.

You’ll channel Emma Stone in no time if you follow these simple five steps! Monochromatic looks can make you look sophisticated and flawless without much effort.
