We all want to have natural, pouty lips, but unfortunately, some of us are not genetically blessed. If you’re anything like me, the idea of using filler on the lips is an absolute NO-GO. I wouldn’t say I like it because I find that it rarely looks natural. All is not lost. You can achieve naturally pouty, puffy lips with the right products and application.
PREP
Preparing lips is the first step. Lips need to be exfoliated in the same way as the rest of the face. Use a gentle exfoliator, and gently rub away any excess skin with a facecloth.
HYDRATION
We want to keep the lips hydrated and nourished, but we also need to hydrate the area around them. Use a good lip cream such as Youth Contour Reviving Eye and Lips Wrinkle Correction Creme. After all, it’s the lines around your lips that can make them look aged and thin.
Use a lip conditioner to finish.
CONCEAL
Use a concealer cream or liquid in a lighter shade than your lip color and spread it over the lip area, a bit above your lip line. You want the edges to be blurred, so it is harder to see where your lip line lies. Try ELES Dual-Action Concealer. Then, lightly wipe your lips to remove any excess product.
Lip Colour
Avoid dark lip colors as they tend to make the lips look smaller. It is better to choose a subtle lip color that looks like our natural color. Only a few shades darker. This will give the appearance of fuller lips.
LIPLINER
After you’ve chosen the perfect shade of lip color, pair it with a long-wear lip liner that is very similar or in a shade close to yours. Lip liner gives your lips shape and acts as a primer for the lipstick. Line your lips carefully just outside of your natural lip line. Apply your lip color after you have filled in the rest of your lips with the lip liner. Try Matte Lipstick. For precision, use a lip brush such as an ELES lipliner brush.
Go for GLOSS
Apply a lip gloss on your lips next to enhance them. The best product to make lips appear fuller is a clear lip gloss or one with a natural color, such as Pucker Up Lipgloss. The middle of your lips can be made to look fuller by applying gloss.
