What girl does not love makeup? It can literally change the way we feel and look! Unfortunately, with every good thing, there is also a bad one, and makeup does not differ!

It’s important to remove makeup at the end of the day. Most of us have admitted to sleeping with makeup at one point or another in our lives. It’s something I have done, maybe more than once! After learning these simple facts, you may think twice before doing it again.

What happens to your skin when you sleep?

Eye irritation

If you don’t remove your eye makeup, whether it is the whole thing or a thin layer of mascara, this can lead to irritation, dryness, and even an infection. The particles in mascara can harbor harmful pathogens, and if they get into the sensitive eye area, they can cause havoc.

No thanks.

A dull, dry complexion

The pores on our skin allow us to sweat, and sebum is a natural lubricant that moisturizes the skin and removes dead cells. Makeup can prevent these dead skin cells from shedding, leaving a dull, dry complexion. Remember that sleep is your body’s chance to recover from the stresses of the day. As you sleep, healthy new skin cells are formed.

Spots

Even if your skin is not prone to breakouts, sleeping with makeup on can cause them. Eek! Unfortunately, makeup clogs your pores. When your pores are blocked, your skin cannot breathe and regenerate. Oil in your pores can build up and turn into spots. Fact.

Premature Aging

If you sleep with your makeup on, it can trap dirt inside your skin and increase your exposure to free radicals. This can then lead to the breakdown of collagen. Your skin will age more quickly if collagen production is not adequate.

It’s a little scary. If you’ve only slept with makeup on for a few nights, there are no lasting effects. However, it is not something that you should make a habit out of. Understandably, sometimes you want to get into bed after a hard day or night. But if your cleansing routine is too much effort and it seems impossible to do, try a simple, effective, and quick cleanser. You can use this from the comfort of your bed.
