After a summer of indulgence, our skin needs some much-needed TLC. Imagine skin that has been exposed to chlorinated or salt water, too much “Yes Way, Rose,” or a bronze glow that is starting to resemble a patchwork quilt. It’s time to repair!

What are the problems we face now that fall has arrived? Most commonly, we deal with clogged skin pores, dehydration, and hyper-pigmented spots. All it takes to reboot our skin is some tweaks to the current skincare routine.

Exfoliate

The dead skin cells on your skin’s surface are preventing the ingredients that hydrate it from entering. We shed approximately. Naturally, we shed 30,000 skin cells a day. This slows dramatically as you age. In summer, oil, sweat, and makeup can act as mortar to bind the skin cells tightly together, creating an impenetrable barrier.

Deep Pore Cleansing

Even if you have cleansed your face well in the past few months, deep inside, in places that no one can see, makeup, impurities, and old sweat are celebrating your pores. What is the result? The result? A skin texture that is spongy, coarse, and looks dirty. You can detoxify your skin by using a clay mask. Or several, if you’re not afraid of multi-masking! For deep cleansing, we recommend Oligopur Flawless Skin Mask With Kaolin Clay.

Rehydrate

Pack it up! The summer can dehydrate your skin, which is not only uncomfortable but also ages it. Add some concentrated moisturizer underneath and use hydrating face masks. Do not forget to treat your body! After showering, cover your skin with body oils and balms. Did you know that the outer layer of skin swells when wet, allowing for better penetration?

The Hydrasea Thirst Relief Rehydrating Mask and Phytomer Hydra Original Thirst Relief Melting Cream are our favorites for the face. We also love the texture and scent of the Phytomer Tresor Des Mes Beautifying oil for the body.

Check for damage!

You can’t reverse the damage UV rays do, so a Broad Spectrum Sunscreen is essential. It’s also important to be aware of any changes in your skin. Every Australian should visit a dermatologist to have their skin checked for any signs of cancer. It may seem like a hassle, but it could save your life.

It is possible to minimize the appearance of sun damage by using a hyperpigmentation formula. Use a hyperpigmentation product such as Laser Light Concentrate to fade dark spots.

Keep up protection

You shouldn’t stop using SPF just because it’s no longer summer. Make sure you use it daily and that your skin care products are always loaded with antioxidants. Combining both products will reduce skin aging by 90%. Vita C Concentrated solution is our go-to. Use a few drops of Vita C Concentrated Solution in your moisturizer or underneath for a more radiant complexion. This product also helps to fade hyperpigmentation and stops aging free radicals.

Eyes & Lips

Lips are particularly susceptible to sun damage due to the lack of melanin. After several months in hot weather, they can also become very dry. The delicate eye area can be damaged by squinting, sweating, or the sun. Give these areas some TLC. Choose a nourishing lip color instead of matte, use SPF on your lips, and offer much-needed repair at night. Youth Contour Reviving Eye and Lip Wrinkle Correction Creme has been our favorite because it calms, soothes, and replenishes delicate skin.
