Remember when you were young and could conceal your blemishes with some mascara, gloss, and a little makeup? Why did so many people miss out on the chance to embrace natural beauty in our youth?

Ironically, many of us over 40 are using less makeup because we believe that everything should be muted and soft. In makeup tutorials, mature women are portrayed as soft-focus grandmas. Enough!

It’s not about hiding behind layers of pastels. Instead, it is about defying gravity.

While makeup may not give you a youthful look, some of the most common mistakes in makeup can age you.

Mistake Number 1: Overly PAINTED BROWS

The brows frame the eyes, and they lift the face. In the 80s, many of us tweezed our brows into thin lines only to discover that they never grew again. But harsh brows with a red tint (for some strange reason, many eyebrow pencils have red paint?) can make us look older. We look more aged and sterner when we have harsh, red-toned brows (for some reason, many brow pencils are red-toned?) It is important to achieve natural-looking thicker eyebrows that look like those we once had. Taupe brow product will enhance your eyes without overwhelming your face. Use soft strokes to give the appearance of hair.

Brow Blenders are recommended. The soft pencil can be used to fill the gaps, and the brush is then used to soften the look.

Mistake no 2: COOL BASE

Many Foundations and BB Creams are available in both warm and cool shades. Warmer tones can help reduce the pinkish complexion that is caused by thinned skin and fine capillaries. Warmer shades also hide shadows, so that you will need less concealer.

The ELES BB cream is packed with anti-aging ingredients and leaves your skin glowing.

Mistake no 3: Wrong Concealer and Wrong Colour

Shadows can appear under the eyes, on the corners of our mouths, and around the nose as we age. To hide dark spots, it’s tempting for you to use a concealer with a light shade. They don’t conceal the dark shadows but rather make them look grey. Choose a peachy-toned, lightweight Concealer to counter the blue of the shadows.

We recommend the Dual Action Concealer. It’s like 8 hours of sleep in a tube.

Mistake no 4: Eye Makeup that makes the eyes drop

If you are a master at applying makeup, you can fake the crease by using eye shadow. You can create the illusion of a crease by applying eyeshadow with precision. Many of us do not have the time to apply eyeliner every day. Instead, you can use a darker line under the upper lashes with brighter eyeliner underneath. The dark line will “lift” your eyes, making them look younger. Apply a warm brown shade on the eyelids while keeping the eyes open. This is a quick and simple method! Apply two coats of Mascara only on the upper eyelashes to conceal the dropped eyelid. Remember: Darker above, lighter below. Under the lower lashes, shimmer shades brighten and accentuate the eyes.

It is easy to use and blend and will not transfer onto the lids once it has dried.

Mistake Number 5: COOL BLUSH

Use warm coral shades and peachy shades. They always look more vibrant than cold pink/mauve. It will also brighten up the iris in your eyes!

We recommend Bouquet as it is natural, warm, and suitable for almost everyone.

Mistake no 6: COLD FROZEN LIPSTICK

Fine lines appear on our lips and around them, as we lose lip volume. Frosted lip colors enhance these lines. Choose a cream lip color to make your lips appear fuller and more smooth. Many of these products contain moisturizing agents that plump and hydrate the lips.

We recommend Colour Balm Nude because it is super-hydrating and lasts for several hours. It also looks just like natural lips.

These steps will help you create a makeup that is youthful and flattering. This is more effective than hiding flaws.
